Ms. Mary Lewerenz

Hello!  My name is Mary Lewerenz. 

I am the Extended Resource Teacher at Middleton Middle School.  I love working with and teaching special-needs students.  My forte, or niche, is with extended resource students.  I have been a special education teacher for a total of 8 years.  Seven of these were with extended resource students. 

I was raised in Broomfield, Colorado.  A small town outside of Boulder, Colorado.  I really love the small town's atmosphere.  I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a business education/administration degree.  I completed my special education degree and certification at Boise State University. 

I enjoy the outdoors and sports.  I obtained a full-ride basketball scholarship to UNC.  Since graduation I have continued to be involved in sports, either playing or coaching.  Over the past 5 years I have discovered the game of golf.  I love to be outside, get fresh air and see all that nature and wildlife presents.  I have coached girls basketball at the middle school and high school level.  I find helping young people grow in all aspects of their lives very fulfilling.
