I am excited to teach focused math and reading courses.
Focus Math is a math intervention course outside of the general Math class. It is designed to build numerical fluency, provide mathematical conversations with hands on and engaging digital activities for students to gain confidence in their ability to work with numbers.
This is an intensive reading intervention course outside of the general Language Arts class. It has been designed to develop phonemic awareness, improve fluency, support vocabulary, and develop comprehension strategies through guided and direct instruction in reading.
I started teaching in the Middleton School District in 1999. I graduated from Boise State University and live in Nampa with my adventurous husband, Jeff. We have successfully raised 2 sons, Christopher and Patrick, and we now have a Grandson. I spend my weekends in the desert chasing and pitting dirt bike riders, running and quilting. I absolutely love teaching and look forward to an amazing school year.
